"Runaway Heart."
By: Sammi
Age 17
Willoughby,OH
7/3/2009
I can be sitting home just listening to music.
Out of nowhere my mind goes straight to you.
I think of the times I bite my lip because I don't want you to know that i'm smiling.
I think of the times when I tickle you and you get mad.
So you give it tickling me untill i can't breath.
Then again other times come to my mind such as the time you broke my heart.
I trusted you and you broke a promise.
Along with that you gave up on me.
What hurt the most was that you just expected that i would just come right back.
I never gave up so i came back.
One day i might not come back and then i wonder what you would do.
What would you do?
Then i also rember the tears that haved permentaly stained my face.
How about the just the memory of them and the nights i staid up worrid and i felt sick to my stomache.
There is also the thoughts of am i just being silly and over reacting.
Or am i simply giving in too much and letting you runaway with my heart?
All i know is somthing in those words and that look in your eyes that i see i will never forget.
They are forever there everytime i take a deep breath and close my eyes.

"Shadow"
By: Kayce
Age 18
Middlesboro,Kentucky
7/2/2009
This shadow of darkness haunts me. Traveling in my thoughts and dreams. I am always running instead of facing reality. It there everywhere i go just waiting for me to give up so it can take me into its darkness, taking my soul and leaving me alone in the night. As it lives my life making life as i know it disappear, until i break free from its shadowy walls and live again in happiness.

"Raining Somewhere"
By: Kayce
Age 18
middlesboro,Kentucky
7/2/2009
Its alright.Cant you see. This is how its supose to be.
Tell me its going to be alright and hold me tight.
Tell your feelings wont leave tonight.
Let the rain fall. Dont be scared. I will hold you now until the last drop falls. As the rain blends within our tears.
I'll take away all your fears and i'll hold you close and never let go.
As i think back on how we use to be. All these hurtful
memories are overtaking me. I dont know why we didnt
last the first time. Now i see where i belong.
I waited on the rain to come
so i could run and hide
i just wanted to forget
all the pain that was left inside
i looked up and saw your face
then you lifted me into your arms
Then you said..Its alright.Cant you see. This is how its supose to be.
Forget the reasons why you run.
Dont go searching for the sun.
When its always raining somewhere.
Then i forgot the reasons why i try to hide
all these hurtful things that are left inside
then through the rain you saw my tears
the one thing my heart really fears
you kissed the pain away
now not wanting the rain to fade away
i feel the calmness of the sound
listening to the rain hit the ground
i close my eyes not wanting the rain to stop
As the rain falls down your face
i hold you close
the rain stops
then you looked at me and said
its okay its alright even if its out of sight
just know its always raining somewhere.
